Obituary

Lieutenant Max Binz passed away Sunday night at the Halifax Hospital with his faithful and loving wife, Wanda by his side.

Lieutenant Binz proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Navy for four years. During his law enforcement career he served the City of Ormond Beach, Cobb County, Georgia, the Volusia County Beach Rangers, the Volusia County Corrections Department, and for the last 22 years, with the Ponce Inlet Police Department.

Lieutenant Binz  was preceded in death by his father, Max Binz II. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, mother Evelyn, sister Vicky, six children: Stephen (Caitlin), Anthony (Caitlin), Jennifer (Tim), Brian, Michael, and Mary (Daniel), eight granddaughters: Jordan, Elizabeth, Olivia, Abigail, Callie, Charlotte, Caroline, and Carly, and nephew, Brandon.  He will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation or the Concerns of Police Survivors.
