Funeral Services will be held for Lowell Howard Hosey age 74 of Caldwell Road in S. Daytona FL on Wednesday May 3 2006 in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 11:00 AM. Dr. Bobby H. Welch is the Officiant. The family will receive friends before the service at 10:00 AM. Mr. Hosey passed away at Halifax Medical Center on Friday April 28 2006.
Born on August 11 1931 in Jefferson Missouri he attended Wentworth Institution in Boston Massachusetts. He joined the US Navy in 1951 served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956. He married Betty in 1954 and moved to Duxbury Massachusetts and later to Daytona Beach FL. Mr. Hosey owned his own appliance repair business then worked for General Electric from which he retired in 1996.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Betty. Their four children; Daughter Debbie Ray Rutt and her 3 children Ray Jr. Kara great-granddaughter Rylie of Port Orange Jeremy and Ashleigh of Port Orange FL; Daughter Lynne McGinnis of Edgewater FL and her 3 children Jennifer Michael and Heather. Son Michael Cyndi and their 4 children Courtney Scott Katelyn and Hannah of Fairview NC. And son John Bonnie and their 2 children Kyle and Alexa of Port Orange FL. He is also survived by his mother Blanche Bass of Marshfield Missouri a sister-in-law Jean Rountry and nephew Alan Rountry of Edgewater FL. He was predeceased by a brother Leroy Hosey.
