Loverta Lollar Owens age 89 known to many old friends as "Fett" passed away on November 30 2008 in Ormond Beach. A funeral service in her honor will be held Wednesday December 3 2008; 1:00 PM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Mrs. Owns was born in Livingston Tennessee and moved to the Halifax area in 1955. She will be known to friends from her days as a nurse at Halifax Memorial and later at the Stewart Marchman Treatment Center in Daytona Beach. She will best be remembered for her charm her ready wit and as a trusted valued friend. She is loved by her sister children grandchildren great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Her husband Thomas Owens; precede in death. She is survived by a sister Anne Hayes of Old Hickory Tennessee; three children; Walter Forehand and his wife Ruth O'Donnell Tallahassee FL Michael Forehand and his wife Frances Gurley AL and John Owens and his wife Brook Jacksonville FL; a nephew and niece who have been her resident family for more than fifty years; William Cuthbert Edgewater FL and Nona Maynard Ormond Beach FL; seven grandchildren; Mark Forehand Kiev Ukraine John Forehand Tallahassee FL Heather Minor Birmingham AL Julie Eliot Orlando FL and John Owens St. Augustine FL ; eight great grandchildren; six other nephews and nieces and many great and great great nephews and nieces.
