A Memorial Service for Louise Holleran 83 of Port Orange who died peacefully on January 30 2008 will be held at 10 am Monday at Countryside Lakes. Louise was born in Middletown NY on February 25 1924 to the late Sprague and Dorothy Drenan. She served her country during WWII in the U.S. Navy as a member of the WAVES. Louise lived most of her life in Keene NH as a loving wife and mother. She graduated from Keene High School in 1941 and remained a faithful member of her high school reunion committee. Louise received a Bachelor of Library Science degree from Simmon's College in Boston MA. She enjoyed reading and spent 27 years working at the Keene Public Library including 3 years as assistant director. Louise moved to Port Orange 3 years ago to be closer to her grandchildren. She enjoyed researching family history traveling being near the ocean and playing bridge and bingo. Of all the things she enjoyed her greatest pastime was spending time with her family.
Louise is survived by her son Philip and his wife Nancy Moncrief; son Richard; daughter Joyce Darcy and her husband Sean; grandchildren Emma Keara and Robert; and brother Thomas Drenan (Norma). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years Robert T. Holleran and by her brother James Drenan.
