Louis H. Smit

Louis H. Smit age 87 who retired from the Standard Chartered Bank N.Y.C. in 1981 died Sunday October 1 2006 at the Bridgeview Center in Ormond Beach FL. Mr. Smit was born in Cape Town Republic of South Africa and came to the United States in 1955. He lived in Union N.J. before moving to this area 23 years ago. He was a member of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church and the Palm Coast Lions Club serving both with deep passion.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Dorothy ?Penny? Smit; two sons Ian R. of Maplewood N.J. & Todd P. of Palm Coast; daughter-in-law Katherine Smit and a nephew Derek Christopher of Norwood Republic of South Africa.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Palm Coast United Methodist Church Building Fund.
A Memorial Service will be held at PC United Methodist Church on belle Terre Parkway.
