IN LOVING MEMORY OF

March 23, 1940 – December 20, 2025
Louis Joseph Patrignani (1940 – 2025)
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Joseph Patrignani. Lou, 85, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on Saturday, December, 20, 2025. Lou was born in Buffalo in 1940 to Joseph and Mary (Terzi) Patrignani. In his early years, Lou graduated high school from Lancaster High School before going on to study education at Buffalo State College. While at Buffalo State he earned his bachelor's and master's degree in education. He also received a varsity letter while playing baseball (shortstop) in the 1961 & 1962 seasons. He spent his entire career as a middle school social studies teacher in Lancaster, NY, spanning over 30 years. In his spare time, he loved to play slow pitch men's softball and coach the 9th grade boys in basketball. He was a very active member of both Calvary Episcopal Church (in Williamsville, NY) and St. James Episcoal Church (in Ormond Beach, FL) by being an usher and was part of the vestry. Lou was a dedicated lifelong fan of the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres and the Cleveland Indians (Guardians). Lou is survived by his wife Ruth, son Keith (Tina) Patrignani of Huntersville, NC, daughter Kimberly Roberson (Rick) of Indian Land, SC, and son Kyle Patrignani of Buffalo, NY. Lou had four grandsons, Nicolas, Jonas, Lukas Patrignani and William (Liam) Roberson. Lou is also survived by his sister Rose (Zena) Ackerman of Binghamton, NY and several nieces and nephews. The family has entrusted arrangements to Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. A service and celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either
Advent Health Hospice (Advent Health Hospice - East Florida) or Lancaster (NY) High School Athletics. We are grateful and find comfort in knowing that he has found peace. He has earned his rest, he is finally able to breathe freely and is now in God's loving arms. His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. We will miss him terribly, but rejoice in his rest.
