Louis "Lou" A. Perry of Ormond Beach, born November 16, 1931, passed away March 19, 2015 after a long battle with heart complications. He was well known and loved by many people in his community for his kind heart and loving nature. In Lou's honor, a Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 4-6pm and Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 9am all at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Louis graduated from Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY Class of 49. Louis served 4 years active and 4 years inactive in the United States Air Force, where he received a Good Conduct medal, as well as a National Defense Service medal.

In Ohio, Louis worked for Hobart Manufacturing and then for Hobart Brothers Welding for many years. After retiring and moving to Florida in 1982, he enjoyed many years working part time for Lohman Funeral Home until late 2005, when he retired due to health problems. He enjoyed being in the public, working with people and helping those in need. He also enjoyed Fraternal Order of Eagles-Aerie #3800. He spent time as a Deacon at Ormond Beach Union Church.

Survivors include his daughter Theresa Idle of So. Daytona; his loving companion of 15 years Donna Smith of Ormond Beach; his brother Alwyn Perry and his sister Wanda Toomey both of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren: Corey, Derek, and Brittany Idle, and Randy, Ricky, and Shane Chaney, as well as numerous Great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Pat Perry; daughter Debbie Rhodes, great-granddaughter Trinity Idle, brothers Don and George Perry, sisters Kathleen Rogers and Marjorie Weller. In memory of Louis, contributions may be made to Florida Hospital HospiceCare.
