Louis James Harrison age 84 of Johnson City TN formerly of Deland Florida passed away on Tuesday November 8 2011. A 10:00 AM visitation followed by an 11:00 AM service will be held on Monday Nov. 14 at the Deland Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by an interment at Sorrento Cemetery FL.
Louis was born in Fayette Alabama to Rubin and Trilla Harrison. He was a proud US Army and US Air Force veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He dedicated his talents as a Shop Forman for the Florida Department of Transportation and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church the DVA VFW Moose Lodge Oviedo Masonic Lodge #243 Scottish Rite 32 Winter Park Shrine Temple of Orlando and devoted many years to serve our citizens as the Sorrento & Mt. Plymouth Fire Chief Honorary Deputy Lake Co. Sheriff's Department Volusia Co. Sheriff's Dept. Citizens Observer Program. He was a resilient fun loving outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing hunting playing guitar and beautiful women brought a smile to his face.
His wife Ena preceded him in death and he leaves behind 4 children Charles Edwin (Charlette) Harrison Dr. James Arnold (Helen) Harrison Grace Lavon Harnage and Mariann Mullan-Bradley a sister; Gene Lovette The Mother of his children Virginia Keen 9 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren and several grandchildren by marriage.
