Louis Franze Jr, aged eighty-five, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength and unforgettable memories.
Louis worked as a service manager at Curry Chevrolet and was known for his incredible skill as a handyman. He could rip down walls and renovate homes with speed and precision, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His strength, work ethic, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He belonged to the Corvette Club for many years and formed countless friendships along the way. Louis had a special gift for storytelling, and was known for his uncanny memory, recalling stories, names, and moments with remarkable detail. He especially loved sharing the story of how he and his sister shared the same birthday—one he would never forget. One of his hidden talents was painting; he enjoyed creating pictures on canvas, a quiet expression of his creativity.
He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Wilma, and a father to Deborah Maltese, Christine Guckian, Eileen Alfano, and Louis J. Franze. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Lisa Cottrell, Steven McCarthy, and Tommy McCarthy, and his ten grandchildren.
Above all, Louis had a presence that made people feel at home. He welcomed others with warmth, humor, and sincerity, and his presence will be missed more than words can express.
