Lorraine R. Weigold age 81 beloved mother grandmother wife and friend died Tuesday September 25 in Gainesville Fl. surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born in Ansonia Connecticut the third child and oldest daughter of John and Regina Doyle. She graduated from the Packard Business School in New York City. After graduation she worked at a New York talent agency MCA where she was executive secretary to Sonny Werblin.
Lorraine was happily married to Frederick W. Weigold from 1957 until his death in 2002. They lived and raised a family in New City New York for 29 years before moving to Palm Coast Florida in 1991. Lorraine moved to Summerville in Gainesville in 2004. Lorraine led a full happy and productive life. In her spare time Lorraine enjoyed bridge reading gardening and traveling. She served as a Eucharistic Minister was on the Counting Committee the Adoration Group the Ladies Guild and as a greeter at her church St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton here in Palm Coast. Lorraine served her communities as a president and member of the Garden Club and as a member of the Palm Cost Woman's' Club the Irish Social Club Friends of the Library and the Patron Committee at Flagler Auditorium. Lorraine loved her family especially her children Michael Weigold of Gainesville FL Peter Weigold of Jacksonville Beach FL Regina McGrade of Cornwall-on-Hudson New York and Donna Rowlinson of Great River NY. She also adored her grandchildren Maureen and Shannon McGrade Christopher and Mathew Rowlinson and Sean Weigold. Lorraine is also survived by her brothers William Vincent John and Richard Doyle and her sisters Elizabeth Berrigan and Mary Jane Lawton.
A visitation will be held at the Lohman Palm Coast Funeral Home 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast FL on Monday October 1 from 2pm to 4 and 6pm to 8. Funeral mass will be at St. Elizabeth Anne Seton Catholic Church 600 Belle Terre Pkwy Palm Coast FL on Tuesday October 2 at 10:30am.
