Lorraine "Rainy" Daigle age 70 died unexpectantly at FL Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach FL Saturday April 24 2010. Services will be private. Lorraine was born to Joseph and Edith Daigle in Cambridge MA. She earned a degree in Chemistry and Nursing from Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami and her love of the sciences led her from teaching to research. She worked for many years in animal research particularly with Dolphins then went on to earn her MBA from FDU Farleigh Dickenson University in New Jersey. During her career she was a health and safety consultant which took her to many places around the world. She worked for Allied Chemical and then for Johnson and Johnson as their Medical Director until retirement. She and her family moved to Hammock Dunes from Weston FL 7 years ago. During her retirement she was active in the Porto Mar Condo Assn. and served both on the board and as the association president. She enjoyed buying property and renovating it. She was a generous and loving individual. She loved her dogs and cats and supported the Flagler Humane Society. Rainy will be greatly missed and always loved by her companion Carole her two sisters JoAnne Quintana and Eloise McKnight her niece Roxanne Denning and nephews William Geary and Joey Quintana.
