IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorna
Brice
December 14, 1937 – July 19, 2024
Lorna Brice (née Limberger), 86, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2024, in Ormond Beach, Florida. Born on December 14, 1937, in Wilmington, Delaware, Lorna attended Mount Pleasant High School and Goldey-Beacom College. She enjoyed acting in community theater at the Wilmington Drama League and the Chapel Street Theatre. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Having worked for DuPont since she graduated from college, she accepted the opportunity of an early retirement and moved to Stuart, Florida. Too young to actually "retire," she joined Mary Kay cosmetics as a Beauty Consultant.
Lorna was a devout member of Edgewater Methodist Church, where she participated in the choir and food drives—a testament to her love for music and community involvement. Lorna's passion for singing was matched by her love for literature, as she was also an enthusiastic member of her local book club and a volunteer at the Oak Hill Library. When not reading her favorite novel, her guilty pleasure was British TV mysteries.
She will be deeply missed by all who know her. She leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Candace Brooks, of Wilmington, Delaware; her son, Steven (Theresa) Brooks, of Ormond Beach; her grandchildren, Natalie, Sarah and Davis Brooks of Ormond Beach; 2 step-daughters, Peggy Wagner and Pamela Hall, of Delaware; 12 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren and her brother, Edwin (Linda) N. Limberger, Jr., of Silver Spring, Maryland. Lorna was predeceased by her parents, Edwin N. Limberger and Laura Miller Limberger, and her beloved husband of almost 39 years, Richard H. Brice, Jr. Services are pending.
