Lorene Miller

Lorene Miller, 77, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on June 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Shand's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.  She was born on June 28, 1945 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Eligah and Ossie Mae(Oliver)Johnson.  She graduated from Campbell High School and Daytona Beach State College. Lorene was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital in Ormond Beach, Florida for five years and then retired from Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach after 30 years of dedicated service.  She was a Member of the Daytona Beach Black Nurses, Mount Mission Missionary Baptist Church as well as the Women's Ministry, all in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Lorene was a dedicated Caregiver, Loving, Christian, Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Provider and Friend to ALL.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Eligah Johnson and Ossie Mae (Oliver) Johnson; her Brother, James Johnson and her nephew, Michael Johnson.
Survivors include her Daughters, La Rosa Raimey and Toni Moore; Grandchildren, Derrick Miller, La Tricia Raimey, Alonzo Raimey, Brandon Moore and Brianna Moore; Great-Grandchildren, Destiny Storaloff, Davontae Storaloff, Lonzo Raimey;  Siblings, Charles Johnson, Sara Dixon and Elijah Johnson;  Nieces and Nephews, Tasha Dixon-George, Teneisha Dixon, Willie Johnson, Jr., Roxanne Johnson, Eric Johnson, Rosalyn Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Charles Johnson Jr., Sonya Johnson and Angel Johnson; As well as Countless Family, Friends, Co-workers and Church members.

A Remembrance Service will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday June 16, 2023 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114.  The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday June 17, 2023 at Mount Mission Missionary Baptist Church, 810 George W. Engram Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 with Dr. David Strapp Sr. officiating.
Burial will immediately follow in Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. A Repast will be held at 3:00pm at  Mount Mission Missionary Baptist Church following the Graveside Service.
The Pallbearers will be Richard Green, Jermaine Moore, Lathan King and George Nichols.
