Loren Jacobs (aka: Jake) age 93 of Port Orange passed away Tuesday December 21 2010. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday December 27 2010 at 11:00am in the chapel of Cardwell Funeral Home in Port Orange. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in Port Orange.

Loren was born on January 6 1917 in Worcester Massachusetts.
Loren spent his career serving his country in the United States Navy where he received the Navy Commendation Medal. Upon his retirement he was a Senior Chief Petty Officer and a flight engineer. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association #335 American Legion Post 270 of Port Orange Sierra Club Local Hobie Club Fleet 80 a former Moose Elks and Botanical Garden Club (Sugar Mill Gardens). He loved his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Virginia and his two daughters Patricia Anne Livingston of Port Orange and Dr. Barbara L. Alexander also of Port Orange. Loren has three grandchildren Kelli Livingston Jennifer Chalkley and Jason Chalkley and one great grand-daughter Halie Chalkley.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Foundation Port Orange to honor of his first wife Pat Jacobs.
