Loraine Abercrombie age 95 passed away suddenly on Thursday March 18 2010. A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday March 27 2010; 3:30 PM at Colony Community Church in Colonial Colony South Mobile Home Daytona Beach FL.
Loraine was born in Ottawa Illinois to Mildred McEvoy and Frank Funk; she dedicated her talents as an owner operator of several restaurants in different Illinois communities lastly in Champagne. She came to the Daytona Beach area in 1975 after her retirement and was a proud member Secretary and choir member of Colonial Community Church volunteer of Social activities and Past President of the Home Owners Association of Carriage Cove Park volunteer at the Council on Aging and delivered Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing cards with many card groups daily crossword puzzles and cooking and baking for her many friends and family. She will best be remembered for her incredible strength and her love of our Lord. She is preceded in death by her son and his wife; Frank and Alice Abercrombie a grandson David Abercrombie and a sister Elizabeth Cranmer and leaves behind to cherish her memory a grandson Robert Abercrombie Portland OR a brother and his wife; Robert and Esther Funk Ottowa IL her "adopted" family; Joan Bauchiero and Joan's family dear friend; Diana Pellum Chandler AZ and many wonderful friends at Carriage Cove and Colonial Colony South.
