Lois O. Spencer 79 of Palm Coast FL passed away at 10:11 a.m. Thursday January 14 2010 with her family at her side at Florida Hospital - Flagler. She was born December 5 1930 to Robert C. and Estelle Olson in Manchester CT. United in marriage in 1954 to her high school sweetheart James C. Spencer the Spencers had three children and were married 55 years. Lois a homemaker enjoyed knitting and painting as much as she loved meeting people and sharing her compassion as a hospital auxiliary volunteer. The family cherished the summers together at their summer home in Old Lyme CT in addition to traveling throughout the world. In 1994 Lois and James moved to Palm Coast while spending equal time at both homes. The Spencers attended church services at Palm Coast United Methodist Church.

Lois is survived by her loving husband James; daughters Jan E. (Paul) Compagnon of Jacksonville FL and Diane L. (Kevin) Leathe of Coventry CT and son David N. (Marilyn) of South Royalton VT; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and her brother Robert Olson of South Windsor CT. She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Robert Compagnon.

Her presence and caring for her family and friends will be greatly missed.

A Gathering and Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday February 3rd 2010 at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Parkway with a service at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may send condolences to www.LohmanFuneralHomes.com.
