Lois T. Lovik went to be with the Lord Saturday July 19 2008 at the home of her daughter in Templeton California. A service in her honor will be held Friday July 25 2008 3:00 PM at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach St. Daytona Beach FL with Rev. Bill Hawk officiating. Visitation before the service will begin at 2:30. Mrs. Lovik was born in 1917 in Pittsfield Massachusetts. She graduated from Wheaton College and earned a Masters degree in medical technology from Wayne State University. In 1942 she married Robert O. Lovik and was married to him for nearly 54 years before his death in 1996. They lived in Pasadena CA until 1959 when they moved to Florida. She returned to California to live in 2003. Lois was a member of Daytona Beach Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and attended Covenant Presbyterian in Paso Robles CA for the past 5 years. She was active in Child Evangelism Fellowship and in the Gideon Auxiliary. She was a past president of the local Christian Women's Club and was involved in Winning Women for many years. She is survived by 2 sons Dale (Marketa) of Deland FL and Mark (Connie of Lombard IL. 2 daughters Pat (Mike) Vasta of Ormond Beach FL and Joyce (Bill) Hawk of Templeton CA; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
