Lois Jean Barr (nee Pardue), 81, of Daytona Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 27, 2023. She was born on August 14, 1942 in Huntington, West Virginia to parents Frank and Dorothy Pardue (nee Toney). Lois attended East Huntington High School and went on to become a beautician and the only one her son trusted cutting his hair. She married the love of her life, William Joseph Barr in 1961 and their son, Jacob Corey Barr, was born in 1969 in Buffalo, New York. After moving to Florida in the late 1970s, Lois and Bill opened up the 20/20 Vision Center, which was a very successful optical store for many years in part due to Lois and her customer service. Although she lived in Buffalo and Florida, Lois was a West Virginia girl by heart and cheered for the Florida Gators and Marshall Thundering Herd. Any football Sunday, you could find her in the kitchen making original chicken wings for Bill and Jacob to enjoy while watching the Buffalo Bills.

She was her son's number one fan and never missed any of his school functions or sports activities. Jacob always knew if Dad said "no" he could go to Mom and she would say "yes".

She loved animals and had several dogs over the years. After she and Bill retired, they traveled including trips to Egypt and Israel.

Mrs. Barr is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and brother, Richard, and sister, Pat (Howard) and in-laws Bert (Gertrude) Barr.

She is survived by her son Jacob (Carol) Barr, granddaughter Samantha (Ben), great grandson Kace; sister-in-laws Betty and Harriet; nieces Jeanie, Carol Ann, Gayle, Michelle; nephews Bruce, David, Dickie.

She will be missed, but never forgotten.
