Loida Eunice Maldonado, age 80 of Daytona Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. Loida was born to the late Jesus and Herminia Sanchez on July 7, 1938 in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
Loida was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was happily married to Victor for 45 years and was a remarkable homemaker, cook and seamstress. Loida loved to sing, travel and enjoyed many caribbean cruises with her husband. It was evident that she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and she attended New Smyrna Bible Chapel for many years.
As a wife and mother Loida gave so much, asked for little in return, and loved unconditionally. She had a unique way of making all those she met feel welcome and special. Her beautiful smile lit up a room and her grace, class and sense of humor will always be remembered. She had a servants heart and passes on a legacy of loyalty and faith. Loida was simply magnificent and will be greatly missed by all.
Loida is survived by her beloved husband Victor Maldonado, and three daughters, Sandra Texeira, Michele (Joseph) Schneider and Cynthia (David) Constant. She had nine grandchildren, Christopher (Alyse) Reteguiz, Crystal (Barry) Van Over, Chelsey and Caleb Texeira, Ava and Ana Schneider & Matthew, Sophia and Lucas Constant.
