Linda D. Theile

August 11, 1945 – November 1, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda D. Theile, age 80, of Daytona Shores, Florida. Linda passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, surrounded by her three sons.

Born on August 11, 1945, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Linda was the beloved daughter of Parnell and Lena Day. She graduated from Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina.

Linda enjoyed a successful career as the co-owner and Vice President of Air Traffic Services of Orlando before happily retiring. In retirement, she found joy in attending church, playing cards, and traveling. Her adventures took her to Greece, New Zealand, and the Vatican in Italy, experiences she treasured greatly.

Linda was best known by her family and friends for her bright smile, caring nature, and generous heart. She was a warm, charitable person and a devoted mother who always put her family first.

She is survived by her three children: Larry Mayton, Jeff Mayton, and Mark Mayton; one grandchild, Jonathan Mayton; and her brother, James Day.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Lohman Funeral Home, located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
