Linda Cheryl (Keeny) Hacker

This spring, seeing a dragonfly surely means that an angel is nearby. Linda Hacker, 73 years young, of Palm Coast, Fla., died March 15th, 2022 at AdventHealth Palm Coast. The daughter of Russell G. Keeny and Hazel P. Keeny, she was born in St. Augustine and had resided there for most of her life, until moving to Palm Coast in the late 1990's. Having served the community as a nurse for several years, she embodied pure altruism. She always put others before herself, so much so that her home was often called a convalescent home for those needing care while recovering. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, nature, dancing, music, painting and the beach. She is loved to the moon and back, and her passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles F. Erke; brothers, William Keeny and Russell E. Keeny; sister, Tilma Portivent.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie A. Overton (Scott G. Overton, Sr.), Palm Coast, and Sandra M. Thompson (Timothy D. Thompson), Crossville, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her brothers, James Keeny and Ricky Keeny, as well as extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may contribute in her memory to any humane society or to the Marfan Foundation.
