It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Frances(King) Zambetti announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend on March 15, 2016 at the age of 89. She died peacefully in her new home in Ormond Beach, Florida surrounded by her family.

Lillian worked at Citibank for more than 20 years, retiring in 1984. She started her career in Harlem and retired from a branch in Bronxville. They lived in Westchester County since 1958 and moved to Florida in 2015.

Lillian was born in the Bronx on March 23, 1926 to Katherine and Nicholas King. She was the youngest of eight children. She was part of the "King Sisters" tap dancing troupe in the 1930's and her love of dance continued throughout her life.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Peter. They were happily married for 66 years, were never apart and lived life to the fullest.

Her "joie de vivre" was always apparent. Her favorite saying was "We're having a party!"

They travelled extensively with family and friends. Most recently spending their winters in Florida and loved Key West-- Our family still reminisces over family vacations with our aunts, uncles and cousins at the Jersey Shore and Montauk.

She was even a reluctant sports fan attending Giants games in the early 70's. She rarely missed a game. Our family still has those box seats today. Their tail gating parties were the talk of the stadium!

They spent over 30 years on their beloved boat "The Vagabond" with many an adventurous story to tell from their voyages from Cos Cob to Montauk and sometimes back! She was an avid fisherwoman and caught a 5 lb. Fluke which landed her on the cover of Long Island Fisherman--much to the chagrin of her husband.
She will be deeply missed by her children and their spouses: Cathy and Jack, Joan and Matt, Peter and Colleen and her grandchildren Dana and her husband Mark, Jeffrey, Peter and Christopher.

Wherever she went, she was the life of the party and always welcoming to all

We know she is in heaven sipping a martini with her family and smiling down on us all every day. We will miss you forever.
