Lewis F. Dietz, 94, of Deland, passed away on February 4, 2017 at Alliance Nursing Home in Deland. A Visitation will be held from 11 til 12pm on Wed. February 8, 2017 at Kepler Baptist Church, 251 N. Kepler Road, Deland. Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 12pm. Burial will follow at Grace Chapel Cemetery. He was born on July 2, 1922 in South Manheim, PA. He retired from the Dairy industry in MD and PA. He was awarded the "Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year" award. In 1969 he moved to this area from MD. He loved traveling on mission trips as well as for his personal enjoyment. Survivors include his four children, Karleen (Jerry) Carter of Deland, Sharon (Rick) Dickens of Radford, VA, Nancy (Ernie) Griffey of KY and John (Claudia) Dietz of TN; sister, Ruth Schwartz of Dover, DE; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Dietz, his wife of 70 years, Dorothy and his daughter, Nancy Folker.
