Lewan Eva Parks, 86 years old, passed in Hospice Care peacefully at home with her two daughters on September 14.

Mrs. Parks, was born in Rapid City, South Dakota. She moved to Daytona Beach in 1953 and attended Mainland High School. She embarked on a modeling career, enjoying her first shoot with Plymouth Chrysler Corporation for a national campaign for the Plymouth Fury.

Lewan owned Mama Lou’s Beach Concession serving Daytona Beach Shores for 25 years.

She was an artist with a gentle heart. She loved baking homemade pies, banana bread and butter Christmas cookies. Reading, painting, sketching, sewing, crocheting were favorite pastimes. Lewan was a knowledgeable and passionate gardener with an immense flower, vegetable and fruit garden. God gifted her with a super green thumb!

She whole heartedly dedicated her life to loving and caring for her husband, Jimmy, deceased September 2 nd , Dean Smith, Lynn Parks and her many pets. Her love of God carried her through many difficult times.

Lewan was a gentle feminine spirit that touched many people.
