A Funeral Service for LeRoy Joseph Fletcher 82 of Ormond Beach FL who suddenly passed away on April 24 2009 will be held at Saint Brendan Catholic Church at 10:00am on Tuesday April 28 2009. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 West Granada Blve. Ormond Beach. Born on March 9 1927 to Joseph Harry & Gertrude Fletcher. LeRoy joined the Navy Aircorps from 1944 to 1946. He attended New York University and graduated from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1961 as a Mechanical Engineer. He was employed by Con Edison in New York City and retired as VP of Engineering and Sales from Peabody Engineering Corp. in Stamford CT after 38 years of employment. While at Peabody he co-authored a book called Standard International Boiler Explosion. He moved to Ormond Beach in 1997 after living in Hauppauge Long Island NY the prior 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jane Wodzenski. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Dolores Andreas Fletcher and was the proud father of Nancy Amico of Ormond Beach Mary Ellen Redmond (John) of Fayetteville GA and Kathy Toth (Chuck) of Millstone Township NJ and beloved grandfather to Brian & Christopher Redmond Kevin & Kellie Amico and Mary & Kathryn Toth along with being great-grandfather to Brylee Amico.
