Leonard Edwin Williams II ""Ed 54 of Port Orange Florida passed away Tuesday April 19 2011. All who knew him will greatly miss him. The family will receive friends and family at 1 p.m. April 23 2011 at Lohman Funeral Home 1423 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL 32114 followed with a ""Celebration of Life"" tribute at 2 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home - Daytona Chapel. Ed was born in Jacksonville Florida on April 22 1956. He grew up most of his life in Key West FL where he has always considered home. He graduated from Mary Immaculate High School in Key West. After graduating he became a Shrimp Boat Captain with his father of the ship ""Lila"". They moved to DeLand FL where they opened a Seafood market / restaurant named ""Williams Seafood"" in downtown DeLand. After a few years he decided to go back to school to become an attorney to help others in need. He attended both The University of Central Florida and Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale FL. After graduating and receiving his Doctorate of Law he joined the Public Defenders office for the State of Florida where he has been working up to his passing. He was an avid boater with the Halifax Cruise Club for over 23 years. Ed enjoyed his family fishing boating and working with his hands in different projects and helping others in need. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 26 years Sandy (Barber) Williams; two daughters Jennifer Williams of Casselberry FL Tiffany (Williams) Jolley of Port Orange FL; son-in-law Justin Jolley; three grandchildren: Emily Williams Jonathan and Savannah Jolley; brother-in-law Clifford Barber of Kauai HI; sister-in-law Linda Hoyle of Deltona FL; nieces and nephews; aunt Mary and uncle Wayne of Derby KS; and many cousins other family members and lots of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Leonard E. Williams (2008) and his mother Jewell (Wellman) Williams (1986).
