Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, Leonard H. Kochendorfer, 88, was preceded in death by parents Henry Kochendorfer, Mildred Olson Kochendorfer, and great-granddaughter Ashlee Kegley. He is survived by his wife Linda Lenk of 42 years, children Ann Spitler (Don), David Kochendorfer, Ellen McCormick (Ed), grandchildren Kimber Kegley (Keith), Daniel Spitler (Dani), Michael Spitler, Elizabeth McCormick, Rebekah McCormick, and great-grandaughters Karlee Kegley and Millicent Spitler.

He passed from this life on June 2, 2023, not because he gave up but because he had somewhere else to be. Grounded in academics, running, travel, and family and friends, Len achieved a PhD from the University of Texas, Austin, ran 18 marathons, built a post-and-beam house, and provided those he loved with memorable happy experiences, many involving travel and cooking. Reflective and well-spoken, he did his best in all things. You made us all better. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on July 16th, 2023 at Lohman Ormond. Calling hours will be 10-11 AM.
