Durrance, Leonard C.- A Memorial Service for Leonard “Lennie” Christopher Durrance, 80, Ormond Beach, who died Thursday, August 20th, 2026, will be held Saturday, September 5th, at Lohman’s Funeral Home, located at 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 11am with Minister George Moremen. Casual attire requested, especially Florida Gator apparel. He loved watching sports and rooting for the Florida Gators and his FAU Owls.

Lennie was born on October 11th, 1945. He graduated from Mainland High School in 1963; went to college at FAU and graduated in 1968. After college, he went to work in the family business, Halifax Paving, Inc. where he was Secretary/Treasurer for 50 years. He was an avid bowler who achieved two perfect games. He also enjoyed golfing but loved fishing, whether it was deep sea or in Astor on the St. Johns River. Lennie was an animal lover and loved watching nature shows. He leaves an amazing legacy for his kind heart, generosity and the love he showed to all who knew him.

Survivors include Kathy, his loving wife of 45 years, Ormond Beach; two daughters Amanda L. Durrance and Ashley R. Chitwood (Jesse); Sister, Irene Conroy, Astor; and his dog Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard “M-1” and Alma “Betty” Durrance and his brother Thomas (Tommy) Durrance.
