DiBenedetto Leonard Attilio - resident of Ormond Beach FL and Jackson NH passed away peacefully on March 13th 2010. Leonard was born on May 1st 1926 in the Bronx New York to Frank and Josephine (Gumina) DiBenedetto. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and later served in World War II in the Army Medical Core as a surgical technician at Thomas England General Hospital Atlantic City New Jersey. Afterward he served as a field core man in the 704th Engineers at Fort Lewis Washington. He attended Champlain College in Plattsburg NY and then returned to New York City where he was employed by Tel Autograph Corporation. Leonard then moved to Reading MA to work for Avco Corporation in Wilmington MA as a Design Drafting Section Chief. During the years of his service in this section it was awarded many commendations for its achievements. Upon leaving Avco Leonard joined Travis Associates in Burlington MA as Vice President of Engineering Services. He spent his time between his two residences in Reading MA and Jackson NH. He was an avid skier hunter hiker and golfer. He was a member of the Lawrencian Ski Club in Bartlett NH Wentworth Golf Club in Jackson NH and Plantation Bay Country Club in Ormond Beach FL. He was especially proud of his three holes in one. Leonard leaves his loving and devoted wife Katharyn his step-daughter Johnna Doucette and her husband David of Andover MA his beloved granddaughter Kristina Doucette also of Andover his sister Cecilia Gaudreau of Wethersfield CT her son Christopher Gaudreau of Brannford CT and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 18th at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church Old Dixie Highway Korona.
