Obituary

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday April 14 2005 at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange for Leonard Catucci 79 of Port Orange who died Sunday at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial. His viewings will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday 7:30 am to 8 am in the chapel of the Lohman Daytona Funeral Home. Burial will be in Daytona Memorial Park. Mr. Catucci was born in New Britain CT and moved to this area in December 1984 from Connecticut. Mr. Catucci was a machinist for Fasnir Bearing in Connecticut. During WW II Mr. Catucci proudly served his country in the Coast Guard and served in the South Pacific and was a member of the Amphibious Forces. He was a member of numerous organizations and among them are the Knights of Columbus Council 8086 and Fourth Degree K of C Assembly 2794 where he served as an officer in both organizations and he was Commander of the Disabled American Veterans #8 and a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans #84 in Holly Hill. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Dolores 2 daughters Eileen Bujda Henry of Manchester CT and Lisa Burns James of Port Orange; a brother Vito of W. Palm Beach; 2 sisters Anne Brunette of Berlin CT and Mary Diemente of Newington CT and 7 grandchildren Shawn Nicolas Amanda Chelsea Jessica Ashley and Sarah. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Florida Ormond Hospital Foundation 770 W. Granada Blvd. Suite 205 Ormond Beach FL. Condolences may be sent via the family guestbook at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.inc. Arrangements are under the careful direction of the Lohman Daytona Funeral Home.
