"Len" Leonard William Caso, 85, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Len was born on September 19, 1940, in Camden, New Jersey and served honorably in the United States Air Force, serving in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, Len went on to become a pilot, obtaining his Commercial Airline Pilot's License. He worked as a Crew Chief in Airline Operations and retired after 38 years of service from American Airlines in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Len played baseball for the American Airlines Baseball team, often flying to Dallas, Texas. to play games. In his non-working hours Len was a true role model, coaching and participating with his children's activities. His love of sports grew into becoming an Official Baseball Umpire and Official Football Referee for both the IUA and FPO. He umpired baseball and refereed football for 15 years in South Jersey and 20 years in Florida. He umpired baseball games at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida and at the Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York. He always enjoyed being on the water on one of his many boats and was a member of the Sweetwater Yacht Club in New Jersey, Trump's Hotel Casino Marina in New Jersey, and the Flagler Beach Yacht Club in Florida. He also loved traveling the world on cruise ships.
Len loved being with his wife and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann Caso; daughter, Angela Rose Caso (Bill Milone); son, Rick Andrew Caso (Kelly Elizabeth Caso); sister, Ida Mae Dziengowski, grandson, Andrew Leonard Caso; granddaughter, Gianna Elizabeth Milone; grandson Patrick John Caso, granddaughter Gabriella Francesca Milone, cousin, Michael Caso of Port Orange, Florida; other extended family in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Indiana and numerous friends.
There will be a Memorial Service with military honors on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11AM at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast located at 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.
