Leona P. ?Lee? Pierug 80 a great supporter and avid N.Y. Yankee fan from Palm Coast FL passed away on Sunday June 11 2006 at Florida Hospital in Ormond Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church at 1 PM on Thursday June 15 2006 with Rev. John Tetlow as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 PM at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast prior to the services.
Lee was born in Buffalo NY on November 30 1925 to Leon & Anna Menclewicz. She moved to Palm Coast 2 years ago from Connecticut. Lee really enjoyed the Florida weather and being able to take her dog Maggie for walks without putting on her winter clothes. Lee was an unselfish woman with a giving nature that led everyone to fall in love with her instantly. Her soul and spirit will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Lee was preceded in death by her husband Eddie and by her sisters Irene & Millie. Left to cherish their memories of Lee are her son Tom Pierug; daughter and son-in-law Jackie & Jim Morelewicz; grandsons James and Pete & his wife Christine; sister Dottie Warczak; brother and sister-in-law Lee & Pat Menclewicz and many nieces & nephews.
