IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leon Franklin
Parrott
September 14, 1941 – December 29, 2024
Leon was born in Hartsville, South Carolina. He had a wonderful life. After high school graduation, he joined the Navy. His favorite assignment was Key West. He graduated from Florida State University and joined the Army after completing ROTC at FSU. He married Sandy Budd and together they had two sons: Lee (Judy) and Steve (Casey). He was so proud of his grandchildren (Madison, Olivia and Ben). He and Sandy were together 62 years. Our family was now an Army family. Our life (30 years) was spent enjoying the Army life. Many, many assignments were happy ones. He served one year in Vietnam. After retiring, we lived six years in Virginia and then moved to Ormond Beach. He helped build our house and loved working on old cars. He built two garages, which Sandy called his play houses. He was loved by so many and will be missed by many.
