Leo D. Mersek 89 of Ormond Beach passed away February 12 2013. A Visitation in his honor will be held Friday February 15 2013 from 4-6pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. A Funeral Mass will be held next week in Ohio with inurnment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon OH.
Leo was born and raised in Cleveland OH. There he married Martha his wife of 65 years and they started their family. Leo was a Mechanical Engineer for Ajax in Cleveland. He retired after 41 years as Chief Engineer with several patents.
Leo and Martha retired to Ormond Beach 25 years ago. Leo enjoyed his retirement playing golf and bridge with his friends. He achieved Grand Master in Contract Bridge.
Leo is survived by his son Lee Mersek (Linda) of Ohio by his grandchildren Lee Mersek John Mersek (Sara) and Katie Mersek and his brothers Ray Mersek Richard Mersek and David Mersek. Leo was predeceased by his loving wife Martha by his son Steve and his brother Joe. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
