Leo Joseph Fama, 93, of Daytona Beach, passed away on Friday February 26, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice with his loving family by his side. Leo was born September 12, 1922 in Boston, MA to Frank and Santa Fama.
Leo retired in 1981 as a Lieutant with the Boston Fire Department where he received high honors and numerous awards throughout his career.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served his country.
Leo moved to this area in 1982 after retiring with the Boston Fire Department.
He enjoyed dancing, singing, golfing and cruising.

A Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm til 1:00 pm on Thursday March 3, 2016 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. A Prayer Service will follow at 1:00pm. Entombment will be after the prayer service at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Helen; two daughters, Christine Wyman of Pembroke, MA and Jayne (Michael) Vitale of East Norwich, NY; step-daughter, Dawn Asher of Daytona Beach; step-son, Arthur (Trina) Ioviero of Daytona Beach; brother, Carmen Fama of Woburn, MA; sister, Constance O'Malley of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Corydon B. Wyman, Alyssa J. Pacific, Anthony Michael Leo Vitale and John Michael Vitale; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Emilia Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Ashman as well as his parents.
