Lawrence L. ?Buddy? Shiles 77 was a founding father of Ormond Beach proper owner of Granada Crossings a past member of Oceanside Country Club as an avid golfer a past member of the Board of Trustees of Peninsula Medical Center and a former private pilot with a commercial rating. He was born and raised in Ormond Beach Florida which was also his beloved lifelong home.

He was a truly special person who had a very generous spirit and kind heart. His many friends and family members knew they could count on him for advice and direction whenever they needed it. He admired hard work and education. His spirit will live on in each member of his family. In this way we ensure that he will never be forgotten. He enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He lived his life to the fullest and always cheered everyone up with his positive can-do attitude.

He was preceded in death by his son Larry T. Shiles of Tulsa Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 14 years Betty; his daughter Sue Shiles of Orlando; his son Paul Shiles of Ormond Beach; his sister Mae Edna Anderson of Ormond Beach; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
