Lawrence H. Glauber of Ormond Beach Florida passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 5:35pm after he succumbed to injuries suffered in a horrific auto accident August 31, 2015. Lawrence "Larry" is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Christa Glauber of Ormond Beach, Fl., sister Suzette Solomon, New York and three daughters from a previous marriage - Jodi Glauber, Cheri Glauber-Simmons, and BariSue Goldberg.
Larry was born September, 1942 in Manhattan, New York to parents Samuel Glauber and Lottie Laffer-Glauber, both deceased. Larry began his career as an "entrepreneur" in his teens, running his family's fresh cut flower business, which he then converted to manufacturing artificial trees in the mid-1960's. After expanding the tree business, Larry ventured into the furniture business where he owned and operated Far East Rattan and an upholstery manufacturing company. For the last 15 years, Larry called Ormond Beach his home and base of operations with Furniture Village and Tropical Home located on Yonge Street. The life of Larry will be celebrated at 1pm, May 28th at Loman's Funeral Home, 733 West Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174. Phone: 386-673-1100.
