Laurence "Larry" Rinehart, 65, of Ormond Beach, died August 12, 2014 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL.

Larry was born August 22, 1948 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Harry H. and Lydia Ruth (Brown) Rinehart. He had a sister Delana and a brother Burleigh. He has been a resident of Volusia County since 1976, relocating from West Port, Conn. He retired after 22 years as a mechanic with Votran where he was awarded Mechanic of the Year. He served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. Larry enjoyed woodworking, tending to his yard, and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed cooking, baking, laughing and caring for his wife. He will be remembered as a Great Man, an amazing loving husband, the best dad, and an awesome "Popsters".

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen Rinehart, son, Jason H. (Morgan) Rinehart, daughters, Jodi L. (Joseph) Vaughn, and Jenna L. (Michael Ordway) Rinehart-Ordway, and five grandchildren Analeiah Rinehart Huggins, Jade Rinehart, Lucas Rinehart, Micheal Ordway, Ayden Ordway.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th from 12-2 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
