Laurence M. Reeves 72 Daytona Beach passed away Friday May 22 2009. A celebration of life will be held in the chapel of Cardwell Funeral Home 3571 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange on Thursday May 28. The family will receive guests from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and Military Honors to follow. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Laurence is survived by his loving wife Helyn Reeves; brother Chuck Richmond KY; sisters Marie Hersman Palm Harbor FL and Lucy Hagla Mentor OH; sons Bill Chardon OH Ron Willowick OH and Jon Daytona Beach FL; daughters Karla Dunlap Perry OH Carol Steiner Norton OH; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Laurence is preceded in death by his mother Wilhelmenia Beckinbaugh; brothers Norman and Jack Reeves; and sister Hazel Roberts. Laurence served as a Police Officer for twenty years and detective for five. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles where he served as president twice. He leaves behind a very loving family and will be missed always.
