Laurel G. Covey 75 of Edgewater passed away Sunday October 10 2010. Visitation will be held on Thursday October 14 from 6pm until 8pm at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave. Funeral Services will be held Friday October 15 in the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home at 1pm with burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery.

Laurel was born on September 19 1935 in Shady Springs West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Dolph and Ulva Furrow her husband William D Covey and sisters Joyce Holland and Anne Holland. She was a devoted mother wife and friend. Laurel had a strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of The First Church of The Nazarene in New Smyrna Beach. She enjoyed making Afghans reading crossword puzzles playing video games and surrounding herself with those she loved. Laurel will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Survivors include her children Lloyd (Dan) Covey William (Bill) Covey Michael (Mike) Covey and Darlene Hill. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
