Laura A. Ramsing 87 of Daytona Beach left us on August 15 2011.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday August 19 2011 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach. The Funeral Service will begin at 12 pm in the Chapel of Lohman Funeral Home with Vitas Hospice Chaplin Laura Berg officiating; burial will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. Laura was born in Lake Geneva Wisconsin on June 19 1924 to the late Mabelle and Cletus Allen; her father was city manager of Daytona Beach in the 1950's and 1960's. Laura graduated in 1941 from Seabreeze High School and continued her educated in Accounting at Mars Hill College in North Carolina. She was a Certified Public Account by trade. Laura worked for May Zima CPA Firm for 35 years and retired from B.F. Roofing Supplies. Laura was secretary and treasurer of NASCAR when first started by Bill France Sr. and William Tuthill also; secretary and treasurer to the United States Motorcycles Club. Laura chaired many 1941 Seabreeze High School reunions and Golden Girls Luncheons. Her home away from home was Allenvale farm in North Carolina where many fond childhood memories and in later years happy times with the Moore family reunions were shared. She enjoyed entertaining cooking playing cards and in recent year's dominos. Laura is preceded in death by beloved husband Don U. Ramsing. Survivors include her daughter Linda (Edward J.) Uzzle of Daytona Beach grandchildren Eddie (Sherry) Uzzle Donald Uzzle Katharine Maniscalo great grandchildren Edward Kubinski Jakob Uzzle Samantha Uzzle Mikayla Uzzle Uncle Donald (Marjorie) Moore of Waynesville North Carolina Donnie Moore Bill & Anita Painter sister-in-law Joan Crosthwait Dennis (Wanda) Morton and many extended family members and close friends Condolences are welcome and may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
