Laura Counts Fanning 45, of Deland Florida passed away from an extended illness on August 24, 2014 at the Halifax Hospice Center in Port Orange, Florida. A private graveside service is planned at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Owen Stricklin officiating.
Laura was born in Daytona Beach on June 30, 1969 to Mike and Mary Counts Fanning of Deland Florida. Laura graduated from Spruce Creek High School and the University of Central Florida, She enjoyed the outdoors and sending time with her son Joshua Robert Fanning. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Deland Florida. Surviving her in death are her parents, Michael and Mary Fanning of Deland; sister, Shirley Rebecca Simms of Deltona; Son, Joshua Robert Fanning of Durango,CO. One nephew and one niece Riley Michael Simms, and Keelyn Michele Simms. Memorial donations may be mad in her honor to the Halifax Hospice Port Orange.
