Larry Wayne Laney, 72, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at his
home on South Beach Street. He was the son of the late Harrison Laney and
Frances Laney of Rock Hill, SC.
He was born in Monroe, NC and raised in Rock Hill, SC. He was a Viet Nam
Veteran having served in the United States Navy aboard the USS John W. Weeks.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the ocean. He loved spending time with
his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda J. Laney. He had three children,
Doug Laney of Rock Hill, SC, Kim (David) Kiser of Nashville, NC, and Candi
(Aaron) Hardin of Williamsburg, VA. He had 8 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren.
His life will be celebrated in Rock Hill, SC. In lieu of flowers and gifts, we ask you
carry on his commitment of donating to St Jude's Children's Hospital in his
memory.
