Lawrence "Larry" Jacobson, age 82, of Ormond Beach, passed away May 24, 2018 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL.

Larry was born July 25, 1935 to Helen and Albert Jacobson in Jersey City, NJ. Larry graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University. He worked for Allmerica and Prudential Insurance in Boston as a financial services manager. He also served two years in the United States Army.

He and his first wife, Patricia, had one daughter, Laura; three sons, Larry (Sue), Eric (Kristin), and Craig; and six grandchildren. He and Patricia moved to Palm Coast, FL in 1997.

After her passing, Larry married Carol Prehn in 2001, and his family grew to include two stepdaughters, Susan Prehn and Linda (Dan) Gralton, a step-grandson, and a step-granddaughter. Together, Larry and Carol enjoyed traveling and were regular members of the Ormond YMCA. Larry also enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy as an armchair champion.

The funeral service will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Lohman Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry Jacobon's memory to the Ormond Beach YMCA, 500 Sterthaus Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
