Larence Richard Meadows, 86, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Larence Hinton and Lois (Gunter) Meadows on January 11, 1936 in Holly Hill, FL

Larence graduated from Mainland High School in 1955. He proudly served in the US Navy Reserves. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Larence enjoyed fishing, racing boats, wrestling, boxing, basketball, the Miami Dolphins and making canes.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nobuko Akiyama Meadows; son, Larence Meadows (Eva Seldon); daughter, Salina Meadows Miller (Clarence); brother, Edward Meadows (Martha); grandchildren, Larence Meadows, Chad Meadows, Joshua McAnaw (Erin Howell), Jacob Miller; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is recently predeceased by his son Stephen Meadows on August 5, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his sister Joan (Meadows) Anderson and her husband James Anderson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any Diabetic or Cancer Foundation in his memory.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Thursday September 1, 2022 in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, 1423 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Interment will follow at Daytona Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
