H. Lamar Taylor

Lamar Taylor, age 86, passed away on February 28 th , 2023 in Port Orange, Florida . A native Floridian, Lamar was born on July 1, 1936 in Winterhaven . After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Lamar spent his adult life as a minister in the Assemblies of God and Pentecostal Holiness church es . He pastored churches in Georgia, Michigan and Florida. Lamar was the son of Allie and Jesse Taylor. Lamar was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his first wife Lassie Greenway Taylor and second wife Annette Parrish Taylor. Lamar is survived by his daughter Sonja Taylor of Weaverville, NC, and stepsons Greg Addison of West Point, GA and Richard Addison of Atlanta.

The family would like to extend appreciation to the caregivers of Halifax Hospice, Seagrass Village of Port Orange and Wickshire of Port Orange. A memorial gathering will be held at Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange on March 17 th , 2023. The family will receive vis it ors beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Halifax Hospice.
