Khadeja "Deja" Louise Swindling

Khadeja "Deja" Louise Swindling, 48, of Daytona Beach, FL passed away on Friday October 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on July 24, 1974 in Daytona Beach, FL. Deja attended St. Brendan Catholic School in Ormond Beach, she graduated from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, and then went on to graduate with honors from the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice.

Deja was a Produce Manager for Publix Supermarkets for 18 years. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and a lifestyle of health and fitness. Known for her infectious laugh and smile, Deja's free spirit and joyful personality lit up any room she walked in. She absolutely adored her fur babies (LuLu, Lily, Leo, and Ruby), loved lending a helping hand, and making friends laugh over an impromptu lunch at Sonny's BBQ, one of her favorite restaurants. Deja's quick wit and passion for anything her hands touched left an indelible imprint.

She is survived by her Dad and Step-Mother, Ronald W. and Jessie Swindling; Her Father, William E. Long; Seven Sisters, Michele D. Harris, Kelly R. Denton, Cara L. (Greg) Oboikovitz, Shonda M. Swindling-Maxwell, Katina L. Long, Tamara "Tami" L. Vanyo, and Casey K. (David) Harrington; partner, Trish Harris; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Deja was preceded in death by her Mother, who she completely doted on, Sheryl Diane Swindling.
