Kenneth E. Wiesmore ("Papa"), 68, of Ponce Inlet passed away peacefully at home with his wife and family by his side on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. A celebration of life will be held at Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave, Port Orange, FL on Saturday, January 6, 2018, Visitation to begin at 10 am with a Service to follow at 11 a.m. Born in Buffalo, NY, Ken was the oldest of five children. As a young man, Ken was an eagle scout and joined the Air Force where he served as a Radar Technician in the Vietnam War. He raised his three children with his wife in Sullivan County, NY but later moved to Florida in 1989. Ken was an accomplished carpenter, electrician, and construction supervisor overseeing numerous projects including Harbor Village in Ponce Inlet. A true family man, Ken was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Whether it was cooking weeknight dinners, attending sports games or recitals, or bouncing a little one on his knee, there was nothing Ken enjoyed more than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He could often be found playing golf with his grandsons or talking history with his granddaughter. To his wife, Ken was her soulmate. To his children and grandchildren, he was their "Papa" and he would do anything for them. Their Papa will be deeply missed. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Lois Wiesmore, son Michael, brother Jack, mother-in-law Mary Schlitt, and sister-in-law Laura Pettit. He is survived by his wife Alice; children Stephen (Courtney) and Stacey (Scott); grandchildren Alyssa, Cole, Chase, Tess, and Walker; siblings Stuart, Jim, and Janet; and many Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Special Friends.
