Obituary

Kenneth R. Riley, 70, a resident of Deland, Fl. went Home to be with The Lord on Monday, January 27, 2020. Ken was born to Elmer and Lara Riley on August 10, 1949 in Middletown, Ohio.  He worked many years at A K Steel in Middletown, Ohio before his retirement as Safety Coordinator. Ken enjoyed the many things that life had to offer, but truly enjoyed golfing, fishing, his beloved Cincinnati Bengals, and of course the Ohio State Buckeyes. Known for his love of snack food, Ken took great enjoyment in hoarding and hiding snacks in his room, insuring the best snacks in the house would be enjoyed by him and kept out of the hands of his son, Ken.  He was a man of faith and enjoyed relaxing around the house reading his Bible. His faith also led him to share the word of God, working with the Jail Ministry. Ken is survived by his son Ken (Sarah) Riley, his two grandchildren Cristian and Isabella, his two sisters Beverly (John) Butcher and Nancy Monk, and his brother Eddie Riley. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ken's name to Sophie's Circle, a local pet rescue and food bank, at Sophie's Circle c/o 1228 Wayne Ave., New Smyrna Beach,  Fl. 32168. Those who wish may also share condolences with the family here on our website.
