Kenneth Craig MacMichael, Jr.

Kenneth MacMichael, Jr., 96, born in Brownsville, PA on December 6th, 1926 has gone to be with Jesus.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Avenue, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.

In 1944, Kenneth enlisted in the Navy, serving his country as an Aviation Coordiance Operator and Combat Air Crewman until Honorable Discharge in 1947. He went on to work as a Gantry Operator in The Shipyard in Brownsville, PA. In 1954, Kenneth moved to Ormond Beach, Florida where he worked for Hughes Supply. Once he became a Master Plumber, he owned and operated ACE Plumbing. Kenneth was a devoted Member and Elder of Daytona Christian Church, South Haven Christian and Tomoka Christian Church.

As an avid fisherman, Kenneth shared his knowledge and passion of fishing for generations and his immeasurable heart never hesitated to lend a helping hand. For those fortunate enough to have hugged Ken, you know his strength and the comfort he gave with every long embrace. He was married to his beloved wife Happy for 64 years and they are finally together again along with their son, Kim.

Kenneth was the patriarch of his family and is survived by his devoted daughter, Kena Van Patten (Dallas Van Patten); grandchildren, Yancy Van Patten (Kelly Frys), Tyler Van Patten, Whitney Van Patten, Daina Akialis (Joe Akialis); great grand children, Wolfgang Wenger, Adeline Van Patten, Hunter Van Patten; nephew Jeff Butz; sister in law, Lois MacMichael and his loyal and loving dog, Poppy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made in Ken's memory to Tomoka Christian Church, 1450 Hand Ave, Ormond Beach, Florida, 32174 Attn: Sandy Miller Missions. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
